Lifehouse’s CD “No Name Face” is almost 100% good.
Then there’s the German band Die Ärzte, whose CD “13” was amazing.
Also, the Living End’s first major CD, “The Living End,” is a wonderful display of what you can do if you practice the guitar all day. (Their new CD’s good, too.)
And recently the disc by Diffuser, “Injury Loves Melody,” has been put in heavy rotation in my player.
Both “Abbey Road” and “Beatles For Sale” by The Beatles. Well I like everything by the Beatles, but these were the two most recent ones I bought. It just struck me how different the two CD’s are. That’s what makes the Beatles great, how they changed their style and music over a period of six or seven years and yet all of their music is great to listen to.
Also “The Cream of Clapton” is just amazing. A great CD to rock to.
Excellent choice. That’s my second favourite Tom Waits, just behind Frank’s Wild Years.
Cheers,
Hodge
Well, I haven’t received the CD yet, but I ordered it after listening to all the songs on Napster. The soundtrack to “Ghengis Blues”. If you’re a fan of Tuvan throat singing and the blues, this is your album.
Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery
Progressive rock is certainly an acquired taste, but this one is flat out great.
Buena Vista Social Club
Incredible talent, great song list, an instant classic.
“Pump Up the Valuum” by NOFX
“Right Back” by Long Beach Dub Allstars
and
“Swagger” by Flogging Molly
Are all instant classics.
