What was the last tune you whistled or hummed?

You made me remember, I heard it watching 2 episodes of ‘Designing Women’ the other night. So, Ray Charles’ version.
I like Willie’s too.

Of all things, Alone Again, Naturally by Gilbert O’Sullivan, which I haven’t heard or thought of in years. Now that’s an earworm I definitely don’t want.

I randomly start whistling “Hail to the Chief” several times per week, for no discernible reason. I just really like it.

Whistling Already All Ready at Zumba yesterday evening.

I watched A Very Brady Makeover on HGTV Monday evening. I’ve been singing and humming It’s A Sunshine Day ever since.

I literally was just whistling the chorus from Night Ranger’s “Sister Christian.” Came up on the radio this morning, and got me wondering whether they had any other hits, or if they were truly a one-hit wonder, though I don’t remember them showing up on one-hit wonder lists. Looking it up now, it seems “Sister Christian” did make the Top 10, though peaking at #5, and they had a song called “Sentimental Street” that made it to #8 (though, listening to it right now, I have no recollection of that song.)

Probably “Pumped up Kicks”.

Just this morning I woke up humming (and singing in my head) The Eagles’ Take It Easy. I must have had a dream about it or had that song in a dream while I was asleep because I don’t think I’ve actually heard that song in ages.

The Schuyler Sisters, from Hamilton

I was just humming Fred Blassie’s “Pencil Neck Geek” to myself a short while ago.

This morning I was whistling “I’m Henry the Eighth, I Am” by Herman’s Hermits.

“Waltzing Matilda” has been my ‘tune du jour’ all morning. I have no idea why.

On Wed. I listened to Springsteen’s Jungleland on the way to the pool. Whistled along to the sax bit, of course. And then on my own here and there since then.

Due to the RIP thread, I’ve been humming Shakin by Eddie Money.

“When Johnny comes Marching Home Again”.

“Born Free”

Someone brought up the fad of “pet rocks” and I pointed out that it wasn’t right to keep them in captivity…!

Today it’s “See the USA in Your Chevrolet”

Saw Pirates Of Penzance last night, so I am whistling “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General”…sometimes at double-speed.

All it took was reading your first word, and I started humming the bass line (well, beatboxing as low as I can go, it’s a bass line).

Thanks, I guess… I know I’ll be doing that all day.

It’s actually a problem for me; I always have a song or two running through my head… and sometimes they spill out into the real world. I’ll be reading at a coffee place and notice someone look at me and I think “Uh, oh, did I just hum that out loud?” I’ve taken to putting in earbuds and listening to audiobooks, which overrides the internal “Top 100 Songs I’ve Ever Heard”.

The theme to the Christopher Reeve “Superman” movies. I was playing with a kazoo.

I can’t whistle
