What was the most badly spelled word on the SDMB

A friend of mine said that on another site, he said “You’ll loose” and I said “loose?” and his reply was pretty good. He said “Yeah, as in you’re a loooooooooooser!!” I still don’t think he knows he spelled lose wrong though.

Dang, this thread is making me paranoid on my spelling. I’m triple checking everything and I’ll still mis-spell something I’m sure.

Did no-one else read this Thread title as 'the most badly spelled word (i.e. the worst spelling abomination)?

I vote for “waa laa” (voila)–I think it was in MrVisible’s ‘People Kibble’ thread.

As a joke, I once posted that people don’t know how to spell “corectally”.

dafinitely?

“color” instead of “colour”…

runs and hides from the americans

Oh, this thread is so dissapointing.

And its variants. I don’t know quite why that’s so commonly misspelled; perhaps it’s because people tend to hold on to that “s” sound when they speak. But it’s rapant.

rapant

That would be misspellings.

Both judgement and judgment are correct spellings. Look at any modern dictionary.

I certainly don’t know how to spell “corectally”. I’m just one asshole doing the best I can. Now if I was two assholes, I could probably manage the co-rectal thing.

definat(e)ly

Site when one means cite.

Cite when one means citation.

“grammer” and “apoligize/apolagize/op§ola/igize”.

Oppolagize, our home and native land…

My current spelling irritation would be none other than “appartment” or “apartement” or similar bastardisations of “apartment”.
AAAAAAIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Max

As mentioned before the words ‘definitely’ and 'misspelled"

My vote goes for “loose” replacing “lose”. That one really annoys me.

Do you mean, “rampant”? Or did I get whooshed?

ooooops.

Are THEY talking about me AGAIN???
I once saw a guy who wrote: “The Wathur was bad”. I think that was the worse spell of weather I’ve ever seen.
