What was this captcha?

All that I know is that it wasn’t VH4. I wish I had pushed the audio button.

No way to know for sure, but I would have gone for v114.

Oh my, that is a hard one. Maybe VXHX?

Bad one. Lots of possibilities. V f H x perhaps?

Maybe vH4?
I would just hit the new button and hope for a better one. That one’s hopeless.

Anyone know if those things are designed by humans or generated automatically? I suspect that they’re machine generated.

I don’t have a clue on the OP’s captcha.

I’ve been using a website that requires a captcha with every log-in, and yesterday there were instructions that the answers would be case sensitive. Okay… except that two of the included letters had similar shapes for CAPS and lower case.

It was something like G 7 x 9 w

There are only eight or nine letters where the lower case character is easily confused with the upper case, but that captcha managed to hit on two of them. That’s some good shooting. I missed the right answer on that image, but the next one was easier.

The answer is New or Audio, even if you get it correct that one may just be recycled.

VXHX?a

VXt4? Wow, that’s tough.

It could be V I I 4.

vft4

It’s clearly YHVH and anyone who gets it right gets Superuser privileges.

To me the last char is clearly a “+”. It’s the 2nd one that’s gibberish. Maybe VfH+?

I think that’s a reverse captcha. Only a robot would even try to solve that; any REAL human is going to look at that thing, say “WTF?!?” :dubious: and hit the “New Captcha” button so hard they sprain something.

Amazes me that ambiguous characters (1, i, l, j, 0, o, etc) still show up in CAPTCHAs.

Hah. That’s just hilarious. I can’t even begin to think what that is going for. The last letter looks like a “+”, but I don’t think they usually go for symbols in Captchas, so I’d guess a rotated “x”. It could be a “4,” but I don’t think the left-most vertical of the 4 is a part of the last character. It feels like its connected to the character preceding. I might guess a really warped vXHx, but I’m also willing to bet that’s probably wrong. I wish you did press the audio button, so we would know what in the hell that was going for.
