What was this old joke? Joe Biden says something at the end.

There was a good joke years ago, which established a premise and then had four politicians each saying something in response. The last politician was Joe Biden, and he repeated what the previous politician said verbatim, which was funny because his plagiarism kerfluffle was in the news at the time.

A long shot, I know, but does anybody remember it?

nvm

I’ll see if I can figure this out. I recall several versions. Okay, one version had them on a boat, and someone (Jimmy Carter?) says “The ship is sinking! Women and children in the lifeboat first”. The Nixon says “Fuck the women and children”. Then someone else says “Did you hear what Nixon just said?”, and then Biden also says “Did you hear what Nixon just said”. There were different versions with a variety of politicians, but it was usually Biden at the end repeating the previous statement. But that’s all I can remember for now.

Ok, here’s one version:

That sounds to me like a joke from Saturday Night Live, I believe it was in a Dennis Miller Weekend Update. Something along the lines of, “Gary Hart re-entered the presidential race, saying, ‘It’s up to the people to decide.’ Later, Joe Biden re-entered the race, saying, ‘It’s up to the people to decide.’”

And here I thought “Biden says somethign at the end” WAS the punchline.

I don’t remember who said it, but I liked this one: Joe Biden is writing his autobiography. The title is Lincoln.
