what was this TV show

It was on within maybe the last five to ten years. The plot concerned a man who for some reason had to capture demons escaped from hell and send them back. He was covered in tattoos and when he captured or whatever the demon/hellspawn, a tattoo was removed. It was mentioned that he had a certain number of these. It must have been a short-lived series and I am unable to find it on imdb.com.

Sounds like Brimstone, although a current show, Reaper, has a very similar concept.

I remember really liking it, and it doesn’t look to be available on DVD.
