Okay, I’m stumped. One of my regular patrons asked if I could figure out the name of this supernatural TV show, and while I have vague memory of it, I don’t know the title. Now it’s driving me crazy as well
The show concerned a character who had tatoos that represented various supernatural threats (demons perhaps). As he eliminited a threat, one of his tatoos would fade.
Any dopers have any idea what this could be?Brimstone. It was only on a half season.
The name escapes me. I do remember the premise, some demons escaped from Hell, and this guy was returned to capture them/send them back. The reason he agreed to do it was to get back to earth to see his daughter, but he was not in his own body so she didn’t know him. Also, he had to shoot out the eyes of the demons to send them back to hell. The guy that played Satan reminded me kind of James Woods or the guy who played Niedermeyer on Animal House (he was neither of those actors though).

I think you’re conflating different shows. The escapees were damned souls, rather than demons as such, as was the protagonist. He didn’t have kids, but he was rather obsessed with his widow. He was in his own body, but hesitated to contact her (for reasons that should be fairly obvious). The Devil was played brilliantly by John Glover, who also plays (played?) the elder Luthor in Smallville.
I’m still bitter over it being canceled so quickly.
