Hooked up the first time in Beijing, PRC. Returned home to Calgary, AB. Made a trip to see her in Denmark, Copenhagen and spent a weekend. If we’re going total distance between hook-ups, how’s that?
For what it’s worth, there’s nothing between us now; more platonic than anything.
Nope. I’ve been reading Cecil’s articles for a long ass time now, but only discovered the message board a month ago. Made my account and began terrorizing it immediately.
About an hour and a half… and then the guy wouldn’t leave me alone, calling all the time, etc. He got laid off just after we slept together and I’m sure he didn’t have anything better to do than to call me at all hour of the night telling me how much he loved me for “everything you did for me, baby.” I stopped going out of my way for sex, because if I was going to go out of my way, I’d probably have to do it after I slept with the guy.
I flew from Edinburgh, Scotland to Venice, Florida. 4200 miles.
I had finally thrown my alcoholic husband of twenty years out of the house. I was gradually getting round to telling folk, including dropping a few emails to long distance old friends. One of them was a guy I dated on and off from 1981 to 1983(both in our teens). I’d only seen him once in the intervening years, but through the wonders of the internet we’d got back in touch and sent fairly regular chatty emails backwards and forwards.
He’d moved to the States and then split up from his wife.
When he got my email passing on my news, he phoned me and said “get your ass over here, girl”. I thought about it for a few days, and then thought “what the hell”. We both knew exactly what I was going for.
493 miles, according to Google Maps. East Lansing, MI to St. Louis, MO. She bought the plane tickets, so I just paid for the bus ride to and back from the Detroit airport. Sweet deal!
Longest trek on foot: 1.8 miles, each way, also according to Google Maps. Running, so I was hot and sweaty before we even started.
Come to think of it, the furthest would have been from Lisbon to Washington, DC. Round trip, first class.
Wait, wait, I’ve got it: California to Yokosuka, Japan.
