For those in my age group, when did Mr. French or Uncle Bill really hit his mark? Maybe it was when Buffy lost Ms Beasley? What do you think?

The show where Mr. French saved the kids from a frosty death by starvation in a snowbound cabin by making hot chocolate with a chocolate bar and hot water.
Also the show where Mr. French’s boyfriend leaves him for the pool boy. So sad.
Probably one of the ones that Pamelyn Ferdin was in. She fascinated me when I was a kid.
But I had a weird kidcrush on Uncle Bill. I wanted an Uncle Bill of my very own.
First Blossom, now Family Affair. Interesting sitcoms you watch, dude. Can Small Wonder be far behind?
The one where they revealed that Cissy was a youthful 28 year old, and Jodie & Buffy were midgets…
Oh, wait. That was MAD Magazine.
The very episode I was going to name. Loyal Mr. French eventually rigged together a fishing pole and was about to go ice fishing when they were rescued.
I thought that was so cool, until I tried it with a Hershey bar.
Not my favorite, but one I remember for some reason was the one where Buffy and Jodi befriended the poor kids. They wanted Mr. French to take them to the thrift shop to get some of those cool raggedy clothes like their new friends wore.
Then Uncle Bill comes home and sees them wearing old clothes, and gives them a speach about how he knows they mean well, but they’re coming across as little shits by making a mockery of the poor kids.
The episode where the tough Irish kid punched Jody, then his dad punched Mr. French, and fianally Uncle Bill punched his dad
Or the episode where the kids met the people who were hippies but only on weekends.
Or the episode where Mr. French let the kids live in “The Land of Do As You Please.”
Or the episode where French’s former co-worker sent poison pen letters to Uncle Bill, saying French had tried to seduce the daughter of his employer.
(Yes - I watched this show way too much. Remember how Brian Keith would always rub his face as he delivered his lines?)
