That was/is a classic.
tomndeb should be very proud of his answer to a “Does Cecil really exist?” post. It was a “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus” take off. Cecil would be proud. 
I saved it to, with his permission, revisit at Christmastime.
My proudest moment was when I ragged on tomndebb until he relented and became a mod.

That is how I found the answer to your question. Chances are that most of the questions you can think of about this message board have been answered before, so it would be polite to do a search before you ask.

Not that I would be swayed by Godiva Chocolates, but just for the record, I don’t care that much for truffles. Also, for the record, Godiva has wonderful biscuits/biscotti.

A couple of my favs off the top of my head:

Shortly after 9/11 someone opened a thread in GQ outlining a ridiculous idea for airplane security involving tazers attached to every seat, releasable only from the cockpit so that all passengers could be armed instantly if necessary. Manny’s comment: (approx.) “Maybe I’m just in a mood but this is too stupid to leave open”.

In a GQ thread asking about the difference between Republicans and Democrats which quickly and of course predictably dissolved into GD territory, Manny closed the thread with “Apparently the only difference between the two is that Democrats can’t seem to follow forum rules, while Republicans on the other hand can’t seem to follow forum rules”.
