TubaDiva and C K Dexter Haven (formerly CKDextrHavn) were chat hosts on the old AOL section of the SDMB. Tuba also became a moderator in that section, though I’m not sure if Dex ever did. Eventually I became a mod on the old AOL boards.
When the SDMB moved here, Tuba was, I believe, appointed admin at the start. Again, not sure about Dex. I was appointed as a mod at the start. All three of us are admins now.
I don’t care to speculate (in public at least) about my own sanity, or the sanity of my fellow mods/admins. All that I’ll say is that the other two are kinder and probably saner than I am.
Have you three ever met?

I’ve been in service (more or less) since July of 1996.
CKDexterHaven started working as an AOL chat host in the fall of 1996, IIRC.
Lynn was one of the first message board moderators on the old AOL site … I confess I do not remember exactly when. Eutychus was not far behind her. This would have been 1997 or so, I think. Maybe they remember better.
And what makes you think we’re not as “batshit” as you are? Some would say more so. They might be correct. 
And, at least in your case, most of us would probably agree!

You were Slythe, and a member, when I joined in Fall 1999, and became a moderator not long after – possibly you and IMHO came in at the same time?
That’s how I remember it.
Hey, I can remember when we had a member whose actual name was Adam and who used to love to argue religion in Great Debates with Lilith, Eve, Satan, and Gaud(ere, that is). Beat that!
And that was Comments on Cecil’s Columns and General Questions, our first two – and for quite a while, our only two – forum areas.
I can’t remember either. I sorta think it was Sir Algernon the Mad Skinner, the dwarf who talked to his axe constantly and was obsessed with skinning all his kills. Unless they were dinosaurs.
