What were Dave's mom's pies this year?

Title says it all…I can’t find anything. Anybody catch it?

Thanks in advance.

Dave’s not here, man.

Wasn’t Thursday a rerun?

I’m thinking pumpkin, apple, and maybe mince.

Granted, I have no idea what you’re talking about, but that’s my guess, anyway.

Title doesn’t say it all. Who’s Dave?

I haven’t watch his show in years, but traditionally, David Letterman does a remote interview with his mother on Thanksgiving, in which he asks her what kind of pie she’s made for dinner that night.

Seriously you guys? You’re not familiar with David Letterman guessing what kind of pie his mother made for Thanksgiving?
But to answer the O.P.'s question. . . Does he still do that?

If I wanted to count the number of episodes of Letterman’s show that I watched, I’d have to to chop half a finger off. I think my grandma watches him, though.

Probably none. Letterman’s mom is in her 90s and last year he mentioned that she no longer bakes any pies for Thanksgiving since she’s getting on in years.

Also, Letterman was a rerun on Thanksgiving so we don’t know what kind of pies Lettrman’s sisters (who whoever replaced his mom) baked.

Didn’t realize people weren’t familiar with the letterman pie thing. Sorry. Thanks for the responses, don’t feel so bad about falling asleep now.

Did he quit working Thanksgiving once he had a child? He used to hate his family get-togethers, so he had his staff work the day and served them Thanksgiving dinner(usually while wearing a Pilgrim outfit).

They shot a bit of tape of Dave serving Thanksgiving dinner to the staff wearing a Pilgrim outfit and then showed that same clip every year.

Just once. She made a beautiful pumpkin pie with a dollop of cream in the middle, and a ‘meh’ swirl of cherries and cream (cheese) pie.
