It could be a feedback loop as well. Looking back over the last 6 months (no super seekrit mod powers needed) he’s posted almost exclusively in the Pit. Before that, there was more activity elsewhere, but again, 95% Pit posting for SIX MONTHS. Not playing chicken and egg, but if all you do is rant and flame (and trust me I GET that in the current climate) you never get to calm down or drop the axe you’re grinding (with cause or without). And that just makes you more angry, more frustrated, until you Hulk out. Doesn’t even take a diagnosed mental illness, though it certainly would make it worse, as would an extended bender.
Seriously, MSH, I said it a little upthread, but take a break. Go outside. Do something else. Watch cat/dog/lizard videos for a couple of days. Watch some classic movies that aren’t so political, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, Young Frankenstein, or the OG Muppet Movies, whatever moves you. Something to help you relax.

He seems to think that the pit is the safe place to post? A while back he posted a long question that I don’t fully remember but was about the movie Practical Magic in the pit. As a first response I asked him if he actually intended to post it in the pit (because it was a Cafe Society question) and he immediately deleted the post and changed the subject line
Looking at other threads he’s started in the pit, I see one is a memorial post for a dead musician. Asked why he made the post in the pit, he says he stays out of CS because nobody plays nice there.
They never answer these types of questions because the answers are just so obvious. They want the freedom to be unashamed bigots.

Okay, I read it, and it was basically just tedious. I thought something salacious was in it, but no. Yeah, I get what people were saying about certain posters who tend to make bigoted comments being in agreement with the OP (heh, talk about a stereotype, IRONY) but there was so much passive-aggressiveness that it just ended up being boring.
That’s why I originally wasn’t tempted to read it; discussions with a premise like the thread title tend to be like that, and I guess I should have listened to my gut.

You think I’m bigoted and racist for liking a movie and meeting an actor/ musician? You think David Johansen never gambled? In his lifetime I bet he met a million people both in concerts, movie sets, and yeah maybe even in casinos.
You want to do the math? Lets pretend David Johansen was wealthy and successful. Lets pretend that before Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods was where New England gambled. Let’s pretend he lived in that region. Lets pretend that a wealthy and successful person who loved to gamble might play for 5-6 hours at an 8 seat table on Friday and Saturday nights weekly. It would be pocket change for him.
People might stay at that table in one of the seats 3-5 hands, think the seat is cold and leave. Another might jump in for an hour if his/her hands were hot. So, 5-6 hours, Fridays/Saturdays, when in town, Winter Spring Summer Fall. Stop me when we get up to multiple thousands of different people who can make the same claim of gambling with him. You tell me how it’s so impossible that I was one of those thousands and thousands and thousands of people.

I posted a nice tribute to him, one I’m proud of. I posted it where “when the thugs attacked” I could tell them all to go Fuck Off. I didn’t post it where “when the thugs attacked” they could all skulk off for a circle-jerk on Geoff’s board without so much as a reprimand while I’d get ‘dinged’ for self defense.
