I see that Librarian has earned a suspension for attacking me. Again. Not that I complained to anyone about it; that’s not my style.
They are probably a reasonable person in real life in their milieu, but they are not American, hate pre-trump America, hate cars, hate US attitudes towards nearly everything but driving particularly, and especially hate what the USA has turned into.
As to that last item, nearly all Dopers agree w her: we’re passengers on a runaway freight train aimed straight into Hell. As to the other items, she’s a poor fit here. She seems (seemed?) to struggle with being able to hate the behaviors without hating on the people talking about the behaviors.
I doubt she’s in any sense a troll, a disingenuous shit-stirrer. But she does struggle with accepting that shouting “Wake up you stupid sheeple!” is not going to materially alter US culture.

Agreed. I read what they have to say and often agree w it. But sometimes … they launch off the deep end. As do most of us; me included. The dose makes the poison and as the warning said, they’re close to ODing.
That seems my experience as well. I’ve had my clashes (particularly in the Pit where such clashes are appropriate) but otherwise a decent poster.
The latest one looked like suicide by Mod to me. Throwing in another jab after a clear warning was just silly. They were lucky it was just a suspension. For whatever reason, Tesla cars seem to make otherwise rational people lose their minds.

Since I’ve been legitimately brought to task (for the second time no less!) about the overly-general title of this thread, feel free to read this post in the most recent spin-off:
Where I invited posters to suggest what they felt would be workable new titles that preserved the intent, or added a modified clause to make it more clear to any getting dragged into side-tracks. Ideally, still with an emphasis to keeping the title “clean” enough to allow back-linking. Or to just say “meh, it’s good enough” or “No, now it’s a tradition”.
Or you can just throw a flame at me for creating the SNAFU as a brain-dead poster. It’s the Pit after all. And of course, if you want to call me out as a bad Mod, you’re going to have to take that to ATMB. 
I vote to leave it as it is. This thread has been continuously interesting and amusing.
