What were you THINKING?

Yeah, I check the dropdown to see which threads someone said something to me in; but I rarely click on them in the dropdown for that reason. I go to the thread in unread and click on it there instead, to get to the first post I haven’t read.

Me three! Like nuking from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure (you’re not skipping some content).

I read the thread title. Read the OP.

I might read it quickly. If it seems interesting, I re-read.

I think,

I retain what I read pretty well.

I’ve found on here if you read a new thread it pays to really try to understand before you post a response.

I’ve failed miserably. Not a lot. But some. And occasionally I’ve posted some really stupid crap. (Ok, I’ve done it some, I admit it :face_with_peeking_eye: )

In the end it’s personal responsibility to read and understand before posting.

Ehh. No one is perfect.

I’ve enjoyed that thread, for what it’s worth. And I’m also understanding of the spoons theory and how that affects one’s capacity in a given day. I have a few different things going on that make doing pretty much anything difficult. Right now I’m doing resistance training weekly, but I can’t overdo it or I’ll be out of commission for a few days. But if I don’t do it, my Achilles tendonitis gets worse.

I assumed the title was intentionally provocative to lure in folks who aren’t lifting weights to engage and learn more about it. And, well, it worked for me.

And I hope that you found the interactions there supportive rather than judgmental.
