I find it’s easiest to keep track of conversations when people quote the specific part of the post they’re responding to, and always, always, quote the post when you are replying immediately after a post (to get around Discourse’s refusal to consider that a reply).
It never ceases to amaze how you can find all sorts of different experts on the SDMB!
Now, I know you’re not my metaphysician but maybe you could give me some quick basic advice so I’ll have a better idea of what to ask about when I see my personal metaphysician in a few weeks.
I have these bleeding sores in the palms of my hands. My regular old profane doctor thinks the wounds are because I keep forgetting that Sierra Nevadas don’t have twist-off caps but I think it’s more likely that it’s stigmata. What do you think?
I saw a new one today. A cable with USB-C on one end and USB-B on the other. Makes total sense that it exists and is convenient for USB-C only laptops that need to plug into a printer.

Fear not! It’s probably not Messiah Complex which is rare and always fatal (sometimes temporally) but it could still be messiah syndrome caused by living within a virtual monoculture. This is becoming more common as the more and more heretics are converted to the world’s fastest growing religion; “Scientism”. There are cures for the syndrome since it afflicts only individuals and there are many people now days working on an alternative to religion. Science just keeps moving forward and leaves ignorance and superstition in its wake.
