Although it would have benefited from omitting the last four words: “and get a life.” Unless she just meant “stop trolling us.” But I have a strong distaste for anyone telling someone else to get a life, because whatever life they have does not meet the standards set by other people. It’s an easy and sloppy way to make oneself feel superior.

Beck, the last person I would expect, is starting to act like an asshole, and I don’t get it.
I thought at first it was a single issue thing. It seemed that she has hatred for porn that she projects onto the actual sex workers who make it. And when people called her on it, she started acting all “woe is me” rather than being interested in listening.
We all have some issues like that. Hopefully, over time, she’ll be able to see the difference between thinking porn is often exploitative and not empowering and acting like anyone who feels empowered by it is just inferior.
But she’s started pulling that attitude in other threads outside the Pit. There’s a thread about grizzly bears that, among other things, discusses how there are bears that are taxonomically black bears, but which appear brown. And she was being confusing in how she talked about it, so people were trying to clarify and, if necessary, fight her ignorance.
And then she lets out this line:

That ok Boo-boo?
That last line is like the Beck in that Pit thread, and is completely out of character for her.
When you say stuff like that you believe your own eyes over scientific facts, people are going to respond to that with confusion at first, and then try to fight your ignorance. It doesn’t mean we need to lighten up. Fighting that type of ignorance is literally why this messageboard exists.
But the big thing is calling people condescending names outside the Pit, and just generally acting like a different, less likeable person

I gather from your eventual final post that all the prior annoyingly ambiguous posts implying that despite common wisdom you believed you had in fact seen a Brown bear were deliberately ambiguous as a “joke”.
The problem with that is that it’s a real and common misconception among people who see brown-colored morphs of the American black bear that they have seen a Brown bear. That problem is exacerbated by the fact that you cannot make a joke like that land, because you’re so dimwitted that it’s impossible to know whether you are joking or whether you are just too stupid to understand. I’m still not completely convinced you understand.
I’m sure you’ll compulsively keep on with this kind of thing like some far more tedious version of the Colin Robinson energy vampire, but I don’t think it’s likely to be so well received if you try to bring the attention-whoring schtick of your personal blog threads to FQ.

I know the difference between a Black bear and a Brown bear. I even know Polar bears are kinda white(notice not capitalized, white, because it’s a color, duh)
I have a Black bear skin on my floor. There’s one in my freezer, shot this year, waiting to be tanned. They are two different colors of black as far as we can tell right now.
I saw a brown bear…I was told by the game warden and others it was a Black bear.
