I think it’s going to be epic. It’s the series finale of the four year run of the world’s worst reality show.
What’s going to be fun is watching all these asses that’ve been excusing him for four years. The ones that said “Oh, that’s just Trump being Trump.” “That’s just locker room talk.” “Oh, the President was just joking, duh, liberals have no sense of humor.” “He’s a new kind of leader. He likes to shake things up. That’s what the people wanted.”
Right now, Trump has his little core army of batshit crazy. Rudy. Corey Lewondoski. Pam Bondi. Matt Schlapp. Matt Gaetz, Trump Jr, Eric , Ivanka, Jared, Jim Jordan, Brad Parscale , Ric Grennell and probably a half dozen more at least whose names escape me. They’ll be with him until the bitter end.
Then there’s what the refer to in North Korea as the wavering class. They are all in Trump lackeys but lackeys that might draw the line somewhere. Kayleigh, Meadows, Pompeo, Cruz, Graham, anyone with Huckabee in their name, a bunch of the conservative Senate Republicans.
People that have defended Trump to the end before. They’ll probably stick with Trump as he goes to the Supreme Court to try to get mail-in voting declared unconstitutional because the Constitution clearly states that the election is to be held the first Tuesday in November. (No kidding, I’ve seen that one floated before. I think they are going there)
I didn’t list Bill Barr because he’s getting fired. I’ thinking that the wavering class loyalists might try to jump ship around the time that Trump names Guiliani AG and puts Grennell in charge of the FBI and they start trying to indict and arrest Comey, Fauci, Hillary Obama and the Bidens.
I think the career DOJers will keep this plan from gaining traction, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Rudy draws up some insane indictments and Grennell tries to get the FBI to enforce them.
Last night, I caught Laura Ingraham on Fox ( I hardly ever watch Fox really, but I seem to have a talent for surfing there during epic moments )- and she was praising Trump’ accomplishments to the heavens and telling him that when the time came he needed to step aside with the grace and dignity that he had brought to the Presidency. I almost peed my pajamas. Then she told him the liberals said he would go crazy and refuse to accept defeat, and challenged him to prove them wrong. She must’ve drawn the short straw, it was a message geared straight to Trump, she wasn’t even pretending not to be talking straight at him.
Then the first thing the next morning Trump started shit-tweeting.
I think - and, yes, I hope - that things get so batshit crazy that it exposes all the gaslighting and “It’s the Democrats that want to destroy Democracy” projection of the past four years. He’s mostly lost Fox and moderate Republicans, they’re still pandering a little with the “Count all LEGAL votes” crap.
But they won’t stick with him during his bid to have the Supreme Court declare all mail-in votes illegal cause they weren’t cast on Tuesday. The wavering class will, but they will leave before the DOJ / FBI takeover.
Trump’s going all the way.
If you think he’s not, remember he probably could’ve avoided that entire impeachment thing by going on TV and saying “ I apologize to the President of Ukraine and his staff , our foreign service personnel, the American people, and most of all, Joe and Hunter Biden. I’m a businessman, not a politician and you all know I live for making deals. This election is important to me and I got carried away. “
Think of how impossible that sounds. No way he could do that. I think acknowledging defeat would be on the same level. This is a man who is still fuming because in 1987 someone told him he had short fingers, and he’s still trying to prove to him that his fingers aren’t short. At the moment, there are probably at least 100 million people worldwide making fun of him for losing an election. I don’t think is going to admit he lost and he’ll do ANYTHING to not lose.
