What will happen when Glenn Beck finally goes nuts?

I think everybody knows that I’m just a schmuck on an internet forum. Don’t believe the things I say, go out and look them up yourselves. Go out there and try to fiiind the evidence that he didn’t rape and murder a woman in 1990.

They are already grooming Palin to take over his job. Try to keep up folks.

Orly Taitz…!?

“Ooooooo! I’ll gwet You, you Scwewwy Wiberals…!”

My guess is that when he goes, there will be at least two body bags, a ‘suicide by cop’, and a cache of second-amendment stretching weapons equivalent to arms purchases by a small country for 1 year.

Have you been looking in my closet again?

How is he nuts and not just an entertainment act that makes him a lot of money? He is no different than Rush Limbaugh. He plays up crap he doesn’t believe to rile up the rubes who give him ratings.

More likely to go insane is Stephen Colbert, who is consistently pretending to be a personality he is not.

I fail to see the difference between “consistently pretending to be a personality he is not” and “plays up crap he doesn’t believe.” At least it’s obvious to all but the most clueless that Colbert is simply playing a part, while Beck is significantly more straight-faced and is taken far more seriously by far more people than Colbert.

This is a serious question. Rush is gonna die someday. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but he ain’t making 70 years old, I don’t think. Glen Beck’s going loony. What’s gonna happen when they vanish?

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with asking questions. Teach the controversy, that’s what I say.

Someone else will step up to the plate. Rush going will leave a pretty big void, but as long as there’s money to be made in nutbar ranting, you can bet there’ll be another nutbar coming along.

Glenn Beck raped and murdered someone? I hadn’t heard that. Is that true and if not, has he denied this yet?

Morning in America?

They start playing music on AM radio again?

He will slowly retreat into the seas, which will churn and boil with vehement anguish that none have seen before. Horrified onlookers watch in shock and horror as the sun flickers and a eerie red glow from a dying sun flickers in tribute to that nameless one, whose creation and demise cannot truly be fathomed. It will be a solemn march slowly into the frothy ocean, and with every step he lurches onwards as an unseen orchestral piece crescendos in the background. Dogs will howl, cats hiss and spit, and birds will immediately off shift their migration patterns flying away from this… this no man’s land as it will become to be known.
Finally, his head will submerge beneath the black bubbling waters, small children will grow fearful and claw at their parents, wailing in horror all over the world- until his head finally passes under- and then- there is silence.
Pure silence as all the cries of man, beast, and machine comes to a halt for a few fateful moments of nearly unending and maddening silence.

A child watching this site at the beach will turn to his parental units and ask: “Is it really over?”
The mother, stricken by horror, her mascara running from tears rolling down her cheeks, will fall to her knees- and the child’s eyes widen as he has that first moment of realization that his parents are not perfect, that one day his own parents may no longer be there for him, that the one thing in this world he has thought to be a perfect and flawless diamond is nothing more than a fragile human figure trembling along side him. The mother cannot answer but only holds her child tighter. The child trembles in fear and turns to his father: “Who was that person? What did he do? What’s going on?”

The father silently watches the ocean, stained black by the ancient horror, now presumably walking beneath the surface. He opens his mouth and closes it quickly. The child grows frantic and repeats the question: “What was that? What did it DO?”
But there is nothing.

The sun flickers again and begins to set over the horizon, and yet no one can look away from the site where the ancient one decided to make its final journey. People will stand and watch the beaches for hours, waiting to see what happens. Waiting by phones to hear of some news, anything.

Seconds will turn into minutes and those into hours as pitch black darkness falls over the scene, the stars themselves seeming to fade away and shine dimmer and dimmer that night, until it becomes pitch black in the wee hours of the morning. Yet, people still stood and watched. Silent. And still nothing.

Until finally… the sun will come up again, slowly creeping across the sky, sending forth shimmering pink, purples, and warm orange hues across the blackest night’s tendrils, banishing it forever more from the people’s sight. Birds will begin to cheep and call again, and the machines begin to start up as people further inland began their morning routines to go back to work…

A new Day has dawned.

Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. Also, lots of AM radio stations go out of business.

Damn! So does Keanu Reeves!

Whoa …

We’ll have half a dozen threads celebrating and one by Shodan condemning the celebration.

You know who else went insane?

We’ll end looking back longingly at the time when Rush and Beck dominated conservative talk, as Hannity’s popularity grows to fill the vacuum.

Yep. That was the first thing I thought when I saw him.

I still haven’t been able to watch one of his shows. I get about ten minutes in, and think, why am I watching this crap?

Unfortunately, that’s true with most of Fox News. I finally subscribed to it just to see what everyone hated. Watching it really drives home the cultural difference between a certain brand of American conservatism and our Canadian brand. I find most of the commentators who are popular on the right in the U.S. to be completely unwatchable. I’ve had the service for two or three months now, and still haven’t watched a complete episode of Beck, O’Reilly, Hannity, or Huckabee.

Also, the network is full of hot female commentators. Some of them are truly gorgeous, which is nice, but some of them look… off. Either major plastic surgery, or strange makeup, or perhaps various peronality disorders that shine through. Something. There’s a hint of Stepford Wife in some of the Fox Babes. Ann Coulter looks normal compared to some of them, and Ann Coulter sets off my alien early warning radar.

Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld is awesome, though. I think even some of you liberals might get a kick out of it, if you can put the politics aside. He’s a funny guy, and his show is amazingly politically incorrect.

Getting back to Beck… He’s either borderline nuts, or (probably more likely) his whole schtick is engineered. He’s Rush Limbaugh without the Oxycontin mellow…
We’ll probably find out one day that when he goes home he snuggles up to his houseboy and enjoys a nice Chardonnay and Brie while he watches Oprah and reads The Advocate.

This.
