What would "giving up" look like for you?

Unless you go on a 3 hour harbor cruise like I did. Then you’re stuck for the duration.

I’m not afraid to jump overboard and bail for the distant shore.
Yes I am.

No joke, this is why I don’t accept invitations to things I can’t leave. No cruises for me, thank you. No outings miles away if I’m depending on someone else for a ride, unless it’s someone I really trust and can talk to about the need to leave should it arrise. I was supposed to go to a baseball game a few weeks ago, while out of state at a conference, but when I realized that I would be in another city with no way to get back from the stadium if I felt like I had to just get out of there…<shudder> Fortunately ( ) the plane ride was very rough on me and so using the excuse that I wasn’t up to it was not a stretch at all.

Wow. Great!

Giving up would be walking into the deep woods in winter without a cell phone.
Sort of like the Cree tradition of sickly old people just going into the woods and lying down to die.

Congratulations!

It’s hard work but necessary.
