Based on everything he has said and done thus far and all his proven lies, he is immune from losing his loyal, core followers. He is like that televangelist, recently on the news, who wears a four figure suit, a Rolex watch, and who is campaigning for a $60 million private jet so that he “can spread the word of God”. They see nothing wrong.
Not everyone who voted from him is in his base. He got some votes by people wanting to extend the middle digit to Hillary, some would have voted for a wet dog turd if was a Republican dog turd. Some just wanted to shake things up. I think most of these people could be turned away from him. The hard core MAGA crowd, no there’s nothing that would phase them. He could run puppies through a wood chipper, screw his daughter on live TV, and dynamite the Lincoln Memorial and his supporters would just say “Haw haw! Sweet liberal tears!” They are brainwashed and unthinking, and when he gets frog-marched into Leavenworth, they’re going to burn the country down.
If they see it as rightful punishment, it will not.
AIUI the idea is that the people at the border were asking for it by trying to enter the nation illegally, or so the sentiment goes, and that they could have averted it by not coming it to the border.
Looked at Google News and there is a link to Fox News with a headline of “Willie Nelson says Christians should be outraged over separating families at border”. I decided to take a gander and the comments are what I expected:
Hey Willie, What about the crappie parents that would drag their children to the US border, cross over as now illegals and putting their children at risk of being separated from them. NO one wants children separated from their parents, but when stupid parents do stupid things, someone has to act in the interest of the children then their parents break the law. It happens everyday all across the country and no one seems concerned about the children except at the border. So what’s up with that?
Why should I be outraged that families are being separated at the border because some if not all of them are here illegally in the first place. They chose to break the law thus they chose this not us or anywhere else in America that are following the law. Sorry Willie you are a has been and need to fade away.

As someone else pointed out elsewhere, in the unlikely event that Trump does get impeached and imprisoned, it probably won’t be a general prison alongside of thieves and murderers and rapists, but rather, a very comfy resort-like prison for VIPs.
Another one that I don’t know exactly where to post. But I guess it comes under the heading of “unexpected and gratifying places where opposition is coming from.” Looks like Jeffy Beauregard is in danger of being excommunicated from the Methodists.
