I’m participating in the Blizzard fiction writing contest and am submitting a story that takes place during the events of Starcraft II. However, as part of a scene, a specific date is needed. Well, I can just make up a date, but what year is it? I suppose I could eventually find out, but am trying to get the story finished and polished before submission. Help! Linky? Starcraft 1 started in 2499, Brood War takes place “in the early 26th century”, and SCII takes place four years after Brood War. Depending on how long the events of 1 and BW took, you’re probably looking at a span between 2504 and 2506 or so.
Edit: Brood war was 2500, so 2504. It looks like Zertaul encountered his problems early in the year, so the events of the game probably took place in mid-late 2504 (because Earth time means so much way out there).
