Whatever happened to Christopher Robin?

My son still loves Winnie the Pooh. I’ve told him the story of how A.A.Milne came to write about Winnie, after seeing the Canadian bear at the London Zoo shortly after WW1. Young Christopher Robin was very taken by Winnie, who had come to England as mascot for a Winnipeg regiment. He asked his father to write a story about the bear, and so he did, much to the delight of generations of kids.
I guess that little boy would be pushing ninty by now. Does anyone know if he’s still alive, or anything about his life?

Situation Wanted
[sup]for a bear of little brain[/sup]

I heard that Christopher Robin has put away all of his toys.
He says he doesn’t need them now; such things are for little boys.
He certainly must be all grown up. I’m sure he won’t need Pooh.
Does anyone know of a little job a worn out bear might do?

The Daily Telegraph in England published a few articles about Christopher a few years back. Their Web site (telegraph.co.uk I think, check google for “electronic telegraph”) might have copies, but you have to register to get in.

Basically, he had a falling out with his father over being THE CR, but learned to live with it and managed to see the humor in it. Unfortunately, Milne was not the doting father one would expect from reading the books…

This disturbing story tells it all: Pooh Goes Apeshit.

Eh. I like this one better:

Pooh is off to the range!
