Whatever happened to the Keystone Kops?

I’m looking for any Keystone Kops shorts on VHS or DVD. Can anyone help me?

A search on google for “Keystone Kops” took me to rottentomatoes.com. They have nine movies reviewed, and links to places you can buy them on the Web.

Happy slapsticking!

The Bangville Police (1913) is on the DVDs Landmarks of Early Film, Vol. 1 and The Movies Begin: A Treasury of Early Cinema, 1894-1913

Try looking on Grapvine Video, which is, sadly, going out of business soon, after years of being the best source for silent films on video.

In that Grapevine Video catalog, Keystone Comedies, Volume 1 and Volume 2 both have Keystone Kops komedies like Love, Speed and Thrills and Our Daredevil Chief.

It’s too bad they’re going out of business. There aren’t enough places offering the old classics, especially silent films. Hmm, maybe some old-time film lovers should get together and buy them out. Anyone interested?

Just note that the order form on their site isn’t secure. I wouldn’t be comfortable entering my credit card info…

Oh, and I meant lovers of old-time movies, not movie lovers who are old-timers…
