1.75 at Costco Madison,Wi.
I filled up last Friday at a Shell station here in Sacramento and paid $3.20. I haven’t noticed if the price has dropped since then.
It’s been around $2 in central OH for as long as I can remember. I almost always use some form of “fuel perks” and can’t remember the last time I didn’t have either “free” or at least 50-60 cents off or a credit card discount. So sometimes I don’t notice the exact pre-discount price.
About two hours after I posted the price was $2.11, it dropped to $1.99.
$2.95 according to Gas Buddy here in SoCal (the redneck part). Big fat lot of good it will do me, since I don’t go back to work until May 1st, if then. The car is mostly going to sit for the next 5 weeks or so.
That’s roughly the same pricing range and usual suspects of distribution in the Cincinnati area too.
$1.99 in Warren County. That’s 50 miles west of St. Louis on the I-70 corridor.
Around $3.80 in Aus, more or less. Which is the lowest it’s been in years.
Personal note: it was USD 0.32 per gallon when I left the USA, and I can remember 32c per litre in Aus (its now down to 1.00 at some pumps)
I saw $2.19 yesterday in our Boston suburb. But there’s a gas station which is $2.99 and has been $2.99 for a long time. I guess they figured out that some people don’t look at the price and they’re taking advantage of it. I still see lots of people filling up there.
On my 4-mile commute in the burbs W of Chicago, I pass 2 Shell stations. The 1st listed $2.89. The 2d - less than 3 miles away - $2.04!
The 1st one is generally pricier, but this might be a record.
