You can look at the recommendations on consumersearch.com as a start: bathroom scales. For truly consistent and honestly accurate measurements, there is no substitute for a beam scale. The Health O Meter Physician scale is rated highly at Amazon, but it is somewhat pricey at $141 (but inexpensive for a beam scale).
If you can’t go the beam route, know that modern digital scales are far more accurate than the dial models.
Why is that? I’ve always assumed the opposite. Good to know, though!
