When ones brain starts to die…what would be what you expirence…say you just got shot in the neck somehow…like u pissed off some big 'ol fax ass “gangsta” and he just “bust A cap in yo ass” and yer laying on the sidewalk bleeding to death…what would death like that feel like? How bout A aim projectile to the head…would that be instanious or would u see shit for a while…okie and how bout…strangulation…how would you think that expirence would go over…? Hmm…any ideas…any related NDE’s or OBE’s? All info would be nifty.

I’ve had OBE’s but not in any way related to death or dying. If death is like an OBE than I’m not too worried.
If the question is serious (and I have some doubts), then you need to distinguish between dying and death.
You know what dying would be like; if you were shot somewhere and bleeding to death, you’d feel the pain of the shot and you’d start to get sleepy as blood didn’t get to the brain. If you’ve been underwater too long, that’s what suffocation would be like. And so forth.
In terms of your comments in other threads about shooting yourself, however, I feel obliged to add: there is horrible, terrible, pain.
When you die your neurons start to fire rather randomly. This is almost, interestingly enough, exactly what happens when you have an orgasm. While this event usually occurs well past the point where one might be revived, people who have had extreme near death experiences describe the sensation as “the biggest, most intense orgasm ever.”
Of course, if you want to try and demonstrate that I’m wrong feel free to go right ahead…

For a book that answers all of your questions and then some, read How We Die, by Sherwin Nuland. Fascinating read. Talks about common ways that people die using a biological and medical standpoint. I think you’d like it.

Just the same, if the question is serious, then the answer is going to be hard to come by. Sure, you can read clinical accounts of what happens to people as they die. You can even get the NDE stories, but how close is an NDE to actual death? Sadly, I think that we all learn the true answer only at the actual time of death. If only Houdini had kept his word to his wife, then we’d know.
