So a few years back, I remember hearing of Dubailand–a collection of theme parks in Dubao that would supposedly dwarf even Disney World. However, I’ve heard little of it since. Is it still actively being built? Has the economy affected it? Are its plans still as ambitious as they were before?
I’m not sure how long a project like this takes. The uncited wikipedia article says phase 1 should be finished between 2008 and 2010.
Maybe they have a shortage of slave labor.
