You don’t have to be a Trump fan or a Trump hater to recognize that some people react negatively to his name. His name has already been removed from hotels in Panama, Toronto and New York, as well as condos in New York.

Trump has made a life-time career of operating just on the legal side of the law. He is a smart man and hasn’t lost his touch. As for the attention span of the Dems, I point out that by 2 days after Trump took office all the Clinton investigations started to wrap up and go away. Except as chants at political rallies. Those last forever on both sides. Almost all these “investigations” on either side are political moves. Once the election is past, these lose relevance.
I’d like to see a RICO investigation on the Trump Organizations. Cry Havoc and let slip the IRS forensic accountants.

Trump pardons himself for every Federal offense he might have committed since he was born, doesn’t lift a finger to help the genuflecting, pleading Mike Pence in the next election, and watches dispassionately as all of his family try to cash in on being related to a disgraced, reviled one-term President. And Melania files for divorce.
That would be perfect. ALL assets even maybe belonging to Trump would be seized. So I guess that would leave everyone–Melania, Jarred, Ivanka, the others–everyone homeless. Or at least entirely reliant upon public defenders as they transition to a more structured form of government housing.

Barron is a child and is off-limits now and when he grows up until he chooses to talk, if he does (he might be like Amy Carter and have everyone still thinking of him as a 10 year old 40 years from now).

I’m not so sure about Ivanka. In that little world, the only unforgiveable sin is poverty. Ivanka will not, ever, be poor, between being born into the Trump family and marrying into the Kushner family. She will use her occasional speaking of emptly platitudes about advancing womens’ causes during her father’s presidency as protective cover.
You might be right. I suspect (without any actual knowledge) that Melania never envisioned, and never wanted, anything like what she ended up getting. I actually feel kind of sorry for her. She was thrown in way over her head.
He can’t possibly be that stupid. There is no way whatsoever that he could win elective office in New York City (any more than his father could). He might move somewhere else where the Trump name helps, though, and run for office from there, as a carpetbagger. Wouldn’t surprise me if he showed up in some state in Trump country where a Republican senator is retiring.
