It’s so good to see you back, Scylla. I was a lurker back in the day but loved reading about your exploits. Please hang around, won’t you?
Have you stopped kicking kittens?
I believe that he has been busy kicking plagiarists.
? ? ?
I can’t tell you. My scorecard app was on my iPhone. I think I had a 43 on the front 9 which is pretty good for me on that course
In all fairness, I fully deserve that. I’m not proud of myself for terrorizing the geese. i generally believe it is a bad idea to inflict unnecessary pain and suffering or terror on any creature. I easily could have shushed the geese gently out of the way like I did in 14. They were creatures behaving naturally and protecting their young. It was gratuitous. I did it fully knowing that it was wrong for the simple pleasure that being thoughtlessly cruel while showing off can be.
I admit it, and I am sorry I did it, and not just because I sunk my caddy and killed my phone.
I am good with cats though. My daughter is a raising a kitten that I rescued during an ice storm over Christmas. I had to climb high up in a tree, and I got fleas from it, and to take it to the vet for worming and shots and later to get it fixed cost me big bucks. My daughter calls it Noel.
So no, the cat Gods definitely owe me one.
Thank you everybody, who welcomed me back. I appreciate the warm thoughts.
I stopped posting stories a while back because they were getting plagiarized. One or two that I wrote became pretty widely read and I was internet famous in a small way. Then people started posting them elsewhere and pretending that they were theirs, and one person even accused me of plagiarizing them even though my original post predated theirs by like 5 years. The Chicago reader was very good about protecting the copyright, but the whole thing started to bum me out, and I stopped posting stories for that and other reasons. I think that’s what’s being referred to.
First, welcome back.
Second, you have mentioned the recent acquisition of a kitten. The rules clearly state that you must now share pictures of said kitten.
We’re waiting.

Can we post pictures now?
Not to here, no. Links to pictures, though.
This is basically my only existence on the inter webs. I don’t Facebook or tweet or insets or flicka, or any of those other things. I just type badly. Sorry.
It kids looks like this  it has ears a tail four legs and it’s brown, not blue
Indeed it is, Sir.
And since you are thanking people, a belated welcome back.
Regarding your friends abandoning you on the golf course, a patron of the Library told me that he was hit in the mouth with a driven golf ball.
Broken teeth, profuse bleeding.
They took him to the club house, called an ambulance and went back to finish the course.
Wait, were you gone?
You can print out a hard copy of your story and offer it for sale in the Marketplace forum, along with a picture of your MS.
AFAIK, that’s the only place where pics are enabled.
ETA: the picture could include the kitty, and you could caption it “Buy this story before my daughter’s cat plagiarizes it.”
Not that this description can be improved upon but here are a couple of sites (two of many) that allow you to browse to your cell or PC pictures, upload a shot and then you can include the url in a post just like any other link.
(If you’re so inclined. You well may not be.)
