What's good to watch on Amazon Prime video?

Homecoming
Marvelous Mrs Maisel

Jamestown
Gary Gulman: In This Economy
Patriot
Wolf Hall

Seen all of The Sopranos and enough of Breaking Bad. Justified looks too long for me to get into, and anyways, I’ve lost my taste for shows about horrible people doing horrible things to each other.

What I’ve added to my Watchlist:

The Expanse (I’m annoyed Season 3 is not on Prime.)
The Tick
Electric Dreams
Marvelous Mrs Maisel
Brittania
Kung Fu Panda (The Prime Original TV Series)

Can anyone recommend any of the anime series?

I believe that in the US, Prime has both season 1 and season 2 of Yuki Yuna is a Hero? I love the show, even if the first season takes a bit to get going. Here in Canada they only have season 2, so be careful. If the first episode you see is about a Washio Sumi, that’s the second season. You will be horribly confused if you try to start with the second season.

If they still have Made in Abyss and Princess Principal, both are excellent shows. Girls’ Last Tour and The Land of the Lustrous both got good reviews but I haven’t seen them myself (although Lustrous apparently ends on one hell of a cliffhanger, so be warned there).

Happy Sugar Life was quite good for what it was, but personally I found the story so damn depressing I wasn’t able to finish it.

Music Docs…
Long Strange Trip
Don’t follow me I’m Lost
Sir Doug and the Texas Cosmic Groove
…also T Rex and Johnny Thunders docs but don’t recall the names

The historical documentary “Rome: Empire without Limit” is fantastic and very watchable if you have any interest in history.

I’ll second Bosch. We just finished it, and it’s a really good police procedural with great acting from everyone - especially Titus Welliver (Silas Adams on Deadwood) as Harry Bosch.

Not too be contrary, but YouTube TV has Doctor Who up to the current episodes in it’s base package.

Anyway, I’m kind of surprised no one has mentioned Orphan Black. Not for everyone I’m sure, but Tatiana Maslany is freaking amazing in it.

We’re in the midst of watching Patriot now. It’s not one of their better shows. Incredibly sloooow paced.

If you like dry British humor, the first two seasons of Detectorists is free on Prime. Very good.

The Newsroom. A friend turned me onto this and it is some the best TV in recent years.

Deadwood (and if you liked that, you might also like Justified)

As mentioned “The Detectorists” is great, but not for everyone. I love it, though.

There are some good movies, but you can also waste a lot of time searching through all the crap they also have (for free).
