What's my best math thread or post?

This is sort of a weird, narcissistic one, but… As many of you know, I like writing math explanation type things, and used to spend a lot of time doing so here, among other places. And it occurs to me that, among the many jobs in the world potentially out there for a person like me, many of them quite boring, but perhaps some off-the-beaten-path ones more interesting, perhaps I should try to find one more in tune with my interest in writing about math (indeed, this thought was sparked by a friend pointing me towards one such potential opportunity). And, for doing THAT, it might be useful to have some examples in my pocket of good math writing from me. This may all be completely ludicrous, but, I dunno. Worst case scenario, I get an ego-boost from it.

Anyway, if anyone here remembers any math posts or threads of mine that they felt were good, I’d be curious to hear about it. And, if not, this thread can just die an ignoble death.

Here’s one. I don’t recall if you posted in it, But perhaps it may give you something to chew on.
I’m fond of the thread because it took a bit of a funny turn.

I’m not sure, they’re all pretty indistinguishable.

That about sums it up.

I can’t advise on what I think you are looking for, but I like the ones where you have explained some math in simple terms I can understand. My favorite is where you finally showed me a pretty simple example of why flipping those coins made the odds of eventually coming up heads or tails equal to 1 and not just approaching it. I thank you for that one even though it is well below the level of the audience you would intend.

I found it divisive.

I was a fan of the (LONG) 0.999~ = 1 thread that kept coming up. The standard copy&paste explanation is good, but also the posts explaining that different systems have different rules… and that’s fine.

Those threads are always a fun combination of posters who know a bit of math, and posters whose mom slammed the car door on their developing skull a bit too many times.

don’t remember a particular post but remember you as a very knowledgeable and intelligent maths guy…

In recent times, I liked ‘3blue1brown’ youtube channel’s ‘essence of calculus’ playlist (not as much the ‘essence of algebra’ one). maybe you would like his style as well.

Would like to know your thoughts on this recent thread which I made
