Where can the Sims 2 go next?

There was a survey-email-thingy going around not too long ago, asking people to rank their preferences for the next expansion pack. It’s up here on The Sims 2 LJ community. It breaks down into

  1. Hospital/Mental Health
  2. Seasons/Weather
  3. Castaway on a tropical island (TS1 Vacation-esque, I guess)
  4. Pets
  5. Outdoor sports
  6. More stuff for kids
  7. Mystery (what I like to call the Miss Marple option)
  8. Ye Olde Symmes

It’s all from a poll that was at the Maxis site that is now closed. Who knows what’s going to happen with that? I feel that pets are probably in the near future, since a lot of people are making a to-do over them.

There’s also the rumor that something’s going to be announced at E3, but some people are discounting that because of all the fuss over PS3 and the new stupidly-named Nintendo console.

For those who are interested, there’s a very brief flash of some pets from the next expansion pack here. It’s in the E3 lineup video, and it’s very brief. More info at the UK Simzone. They’ll be posting screenshots from the preview when they get them.

Looks like cats and dogs are different sizes now. Groovy.
