9 : Waterloo - Abba

“What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted” I forget who did it, because I know it from Dave “not that one*” Stewart’s cover, with ex-Zombies frontman Colin Blunstone on vocals.
*This is not the Dave Stewart who was in Eurythmics. This Dave Stewart was in Egg and Hatfield & The North, and has made many a fine record with Barbara Gaskin.

#7 Walking on Broken Glass : I’m not sure if it was Annie Lennox but I think so.

  1. “You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth”, Meat Loaf

That would be Jimmy Ruffin.

4 more down leaves only 5 remaining. Can you get them all?

Thanks. I have heard the original and like it a lot. It’s just that I was a huge Dave Stewart/Barbara Gaskin fan and sought out that early single by Dave/Colin, then listened to it over and over.

Wow, I’m impressed that so many have been gotten so quickly. If I did one of these based on what’s on my Winamp right now, I doubt ANYONE could get any of them without some serious Googling. Even with Google, some would never be solved. And they’re from major releases, not my friend in a basement who recorded a song she just wrote.

  1. "You Never Can Tell" Chuck Berry
