One is a orgami calendar. Every day, I will fold the previous day’s page into something neat like a frog or something.
The other I have to mark up in, work-wise. It is a cheap-o calendar that the reprographics place sent. I was complaining about how dull it was when a co-worker said, “well, jazz it up!”
so I did.
I took pictures of Kojack from the net and I have place him on the images. January is Kojack peeping out of the picture’s edge, with a lollypop OF COURSE, in a snow scene. I did it really cheesey so that you can see the tape and I used bad printer copies. I really went for the homemade look. It makes it look like some looney fangirl made it. I dig it!
and then I think that the better half is getting me a mini cooper calender for home. Woo hoo! The cover image is one just like mine!
I got my son an origami calendar for Christmas last year.
I have a Boris Vallejo calendar at home…that’s the only calendar we’ll buy now. His artwork is fantastic.
At work I have a broadcast calendar (The week starts on Monday and the last Sunday of the month ends the month.) and a 365 Stupidest Things Ever Said day calendar.
Both of ours were free. The first is a food/recipie one that came with the Free Food&Drink magazine from the LCBO. It’s ok, but not the best calendar in the world. The second came just today in the mail from the local SPCA where we adopted our cat. They made a calendar with really nice pictures of pets that were adopted from their shelter - the September cat looks almost exactly like our kitten, except that the cats eyes are green, while ours has yellow/orange ones. But almost the same facial markings and pink nose!
The calendar is from www.hamiltonspca.com, if anyone wants to get one and see a clone of my kitten!
I have been looking and looking and looking for a hippo calendar for several years but could not find one. Unless another doper knows of one[sup]*[/sup], I guess I’ll do without again this year.
And not one of those “endanged species” calendars with only one hippo picture. I want 12 pictures in all their hipponess!
