I have a close-up picture of a bunch of large goldfish checking out the camera and seeing if it’s food.
There’s lots of interesting pictures here. You could make quite a slideshow.

Here is a screenshot of my desktop that I did a while back for another of these threads on another of these messageboards. It was just a water droplet that I photoshopped to change the color and shape and all.
Home computer: The same Mac golden poppy that yosemite has, I guess.
Work computer: A picture of my dog Curly as a puppy. He’s black, so he makes excellent background.
My home computer used to have a beautiful picture that got lost when my hard drive crashed. It was a desert sunset viewed from the mouth of a cave – lots of great oranges, yellows, and reds. (anyone recognize it?)
According to my son the computer genius I have way too many documents and other icons on my desktop. Sue me. I like to see my stuff. Keeps them in my mind.
They are arranged around the edges, so that I get a good view of the stained glass window featuring Piffany from Nodwick. “This computer is protected by the power of goodness, niceness, and happy thoughts.”
This picture of Devo. Might change it soon though, as I have tons of pictures of various things that I keep thinking I should use for wallpaper.
I have a great picture of Whistler from the top of the ski slopes I took last time I went there on vacation.
I have roughly 2000 anime based wall papers, which I have set on my machine to change every minute. Right know it is showing a picture of Komugi from the anime Soultaker & Nurse Witch Komugi-chan.
I have “An 8-bit Tribute” from here
How do you do that?
I have this picture up currently, but I change it often.
Mostly I use space images, but I sometimes use my own pictures from trips.
I also have tons and tons of clutter on my desktop. All sorts of things that don’t belong there, but my mother puts things there so she can find them later.
It doesn’t.
I’ve used to have a black and white shot of one of my cats; the neat thing was that the Photoshop 5 icon (the one with the eyeball) was exactly the size of one of his eyes. Used to freak my wife out when I left that sitting over the cat’s eye.
These days I have another eye: HAL 9000
On the family computer I’ve got a collage of two view of Mars made by the French mission. On my personal computer, I have Yosemite’s favorite artwork, “Siren Slavegirls.”
One of those “Earth from Space” things, with a twist. It’s Fuller Projection
I have a picture of spanish nuns playing volleyball in the street. I got it from the National Geographic website, in their “picture of the day” archive. There’s a lot of really beautiful photos there.
I don’t have the link to the volleyball-playing nuns, but if you look long enough in those archives, you’ll find it.
Max.
Right now, my desktop is a picture of the boyfriend and I on vacation. We’re sitting on the dock at Flathead Lake in Montana and you can see the sky and lake behind us. It’s pretty.
Usually I have Webshots rotate my desktop daily. Yes, I know Webshots is bad because it has spyware or something but I’ve never had a problem with it. Plus they have absolutely the most beautiful pictures of islands and tropical scenes and palm trees, which I use to brighten up my dreary existance in Kansas.
We have a picture we captured in front of our patio of a squirrel contemplating whether to try to steal some bird seed. Here is a reduced-size copy:
