What's on your wall?

Hey !! Hillbilly Queen !! You found my keys !?!?!

The computer’s in the bedroom, which does not have the most fabulous art in the house. The walls are mostly bookshelved and desked and bureaued.

We used to have a framed TINTIN cover hanging next to the closet…Le Lotus Bleu…Tintin and Snowy are hiding in a big Chinese jar and there’s a big black dragon on the wall behind them. But we moved it to our son’s room and replaced it with a painting he did when he was six.

The only other thing is a big framed lithograph over the bed, an 1885 aerial view of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, put out by the Jacob J. Vollrath Manufacturing Company.

quote:

Weaponry, including but not limited to: A 70 year-old recurved bow, some arrows, a double-headed axe, a sword and a very nice flail.

…Waaaaay cool. Man you need a Cross-bow and a Blunderbuss to finish off the collection!

As for me… not much except the menu of the cafe downstairs…‘cause I just moved into my office pretty much… but the girl across from me has a great poster of a big ol’ mama giraffe sucking on the top of her baby’s head with the caption, ‘The First Kiss’ on it.

Zoggie, that is of particular interest to me since I wrote the OP. I have had two versions of that poster. When my first marriage ended, my then-husband and I flipped for possession of the Chat Noir. He won. :frowning:

Since then I replaced it with a BIGGER (heh, heh) one from the National Gallery.

I think that the Chat Noir is the name of a nightclub in Paris that was closed and then reopened.

Hillybilly Queen, does the word “Rivergate” mean anything to you? ;)[/hijack]

On the south wall, I’ve painted a large graphic (mural) that represents “Desert Monsoon Mountain Day”. The only object attached to the wall is a Talavera ceramic sun resting on the sky portion of the graphic. I sit facing a huge colorful wall of blues, greens, peach, almond and tangerine.

On the north wall, I’ve painted a large graphic (mural) that represents “Desert Mountain Moon”. Attached to the wall is a Talavera ceramic moon. When I swivel around, the colors are mauve, peach, plum, violet and purple.

I like my room. The paintings are 9’ x 11’
