I have a cylinder head and some rims my buddy has asked me to sell for him. I already have an ebay account, but it seems like there’s a better venue to maximize profit for auto parts. Any suggestions?

Those parts are pretty heavy and unless they are special in some manner, I doubt anyone would pay the shipping for ordinary parts if bought through Ebay. Perhaps your local Craigslist would be an option.
We’ve had good (great) luck on E-bay. You can sell heavy stuff (we sold an engine that had been sitting in our barn for over 10 years). Local people will pick up on it. Just specify that they’re responsible for shipping or picking up or whatever.
We also bought and sold a lot of smaller parts and an antique stove! We have another antique stove if anyone’s interested.
E-bay. Definitely E-bay.

I’ve sold two sets of rims on eBay. We’ve been parting out two cars (I guess we’re on our third now) for almost a year, and what people want and are willing to pay shipping for never ceases to amaze me.
