What's the best way to get jelly out of an ice cube tray?

I was making mini jelly pieces using an ice cube tray as a mould. I tried to get one cube out by gently trying to cut around the edges but it ended in total disaster with the jelly hardly recognisable as a cube. Anyone have any suggestions to save the other cubes? Thanks.

Stand the tray in boiling hot water for a few seconds (not deep enough that it comes over the top) - the edges of the cubes should melt and they should just drop out.

Or freeze them>pop them out>thaw them
