Of course I know you can do that. But that excludes solo stuff and some other stuff I like. And it will occasionally include dildos that look too realistic to work for me.
I just wish there was a category that was just “no dicks.” (Categories are the only thing the app saves. It doesn’t save searches.)
Of course, I could actually try another app. Since we’re talking so candidly, any suggestions, anyone?
I do both fantasy and watching stuff. Sometimes I’ll fantasize about something I can see, even. I wish their was porn out there that hit all the buttons I can hit in fantasy, but there isn’t. And I’m not in any position to make it.
Not a fan of just reading about it for my own work, but that’s not to say that reading some stuff has never turned me on.
Ugh, I don’t really want to have this debate for the fifteenth time in my Doper life, but it’s likely the opposite is true. The reality is complicated, but my husband (very pro-gaming) co-authored a paper about violent media and aggression at the University of Michigan Aggression Research Laboratory. Part of his job was going to juvenile detention centers and interviewing kids about their media habits. The basic upshot (based on an aggregate of studies, including at least one longitudinal study indicating causality) is that kids who are surrounded by real life violence and violent media are more likely to commit violent acts than those who are surrounded by real life violence but not violent media. It’s not as simple as ‘‘violent media causes violent behavior’’ because there are a number of factors to consider, but the aggregate of the research indicates that, in general, violent media does have a negative impact on violent behavior, particularly juveniles. There are a number of nuances I’m glossing over here in the interest of being tired of going through this.
Here’s a link to some of the Aggression Lab research, here’s a link to my husband’s paper, and no, I don’t want to argue about it. I’ve found people to be entirely too biased on this subject to fairly consider the arguments, no matter how many methodologically sound citations I provide. (Which doesn’t mean I can’t be mistaken, only that I’m wholly unimpressed by the rebuttals.) Gamers in particular seem to really hate Dr. Brad Bushman. I’m a gamer and find him to be a very nice man.
(One minor point, I have a friend at OSU whose research found that women who engage in violent video games actually exhibit more pro-social behavior. Her theory is they were overcompensating out of guilt for violating female social norms. I dunno what I think.)
Honestly, while I’m not familiar with any research on violent pornography, it’s very unlikely, based on basic social learning theories, i.e. Bandura, et. al, and the fact that the ‘‘catharsis’’ model has pretty much been debunked, that violent pornography reduces the prevalence of rape. It’s more likely to have some negative effect than some positive one, though I can’t say what that effect would be and I’m not exactly wringing my hands about it.
Late to the thread but --------- I was thinking along the same lines. There was a big peak in this sort of porn around the mid-70s. Brooke and Taylor Young went the long way and as twins made a couple films combining assorted incest themes.
It’s so funny you say this because a way that I would fall asleep for years would be to, essentially, begin the process of trying to turn myself on. However, because I was so obessed with the “realism” of the fantasy that I would constantly change what the scenario was, and write the dialogue and such, that I would actually fall asleep.
It also sucked when I legitimately WANTED to mess around, because it would take me so long to create a reasonable, lifelike scenario.
For some reason, my idle mind started thinking about this thread.
I don’t think incest porn is just about having someone constantly with you that you can fuck. If that were the case, then why not a live in boyfriend/girlfriend, or even marriage? So the lack of commitment is clearly a part. And, even if we remove that, you still don’t see that many roommate fantasies.
No, what is needed is the idea that you are beings naughty and secretive. You’re doing something you shouldn’t do, and keeping it away for others. This would also explain other fantasies where you have sex where you aren’t supposed to, with a doctor or psychologist or teacher.
Of course, some of those have the additional power dynamics going on. But so does some of the incest stuff. It’s not all step-brother/step-sister.
And that’s my final thing. It’s usually relations by marriage–a step-parent or step-sibling, and one you didn’t completely grow up with in your earliest years. So there is an acknowledgement of the biological ickiness.
Granted, this is based mostly on reading titles and watching some anime clips. I haven’t watched.
If they do just frontload all that stuff, then I could see it still working for people who don’t like the incest stuff. They just skip it. That would explain why it could be more common without a majority being into it.
Yeah if you skip reading the video titles and turn down the volume, incest porn is no different than most other mainstream porn. It has always just struck me as odd that so many people evidently like the added element of incest. I get the idea of being turned on by taboo sex but watching a young girl get fucked up the ass by what is supposed to be her (much) older father is leaps and bounds beyond watching a young girl getting fucked up the ass by her doctor.
Yes, that’s more of a grey area, imo. No blood relation means no similar ick factor. Granted, the stepfather/mother/child dynamic is more prevalent than the direct blood relation dynamic but that doesn’t mean it’s not still quite significant in popularity.
Apparently their tagging is also by your area/IP addresses. I get a lot of weird shit popping up on porn sites for me that I have never looked at. I assume it is because I’m in a large apartment building with an exceptionally diverse population and those people are searching for all that stuff I have no interest in. Otherwise, having Indian porn showing up at the top of my list (lots of Indian H1B workers in my building) makes no sense.
Being a somewhat older gentleman, I may from time to time look at “Mom” porn if only to see attractive women a bit closer to my age. In doing so, I have seen the same clips labeled as “Woman seducing neighbor boy” (A boy who is in his 30’s??? Sure) and as “mother seducing her son” (when they appear the same age).
One of the things I find attractive about some of this is a more casual feel and flow rather than the automaton sex in some other videos.
That being said, the incest thing can be a serious turn off. It can also be seriously stupid, such as one where the “mother” keeps saying, very loudly “SON, (this)”, "SON! (that) - and in that video, I’d swear they were both within 5 years of each other, age wise. (Came up under another category and I watched it specifically because the whole incest thing was clearly bullshit - both were professional porn stars.)
If you want really bizarre “incest” porn, do a search for japanese game shows.
I’d beg to differ. Either father/step-father is just another coercion fantasy IFAIC. I find them both personally pretty fucking gross, but there are plenty of people who find my fetishes gross, so whatevs. I remember reading an otherwise pretty good fetish romance novel where the female lead called the male lead ‘‘Daddy’’ and it pretty much ruined the whole thing for me. The only way I can see that not being gross is if the man you’re fucking is literally the father of your recently born child, the same way parents (in a non-sex context) refer to one another as ‘‘Mama’’ and ‘‘Papa’’ or whatever for the purposes of their children.
Brother/sister is arguably more power balanced, but honestly, I very rarely see that in porn. It’s usually a father figure and a younger girl.
Huh. I do see a lot of step-sister stuff. I’d put it at about equal with step-mother. And I see even less step-daughter. (Only step-mother ever seems to have a female protagonist [or whatever the word should be].)
I didn’t mean to suggest that there was no ick factor with stepchild/step-parent porn, just not to the level of child/parent porn. And it is there, for sure. But I’d definitely agree that both are gross.
My working theory is that anime creators are between a rock and a hard place. They want to make a somewhat ecchi show about horny teens without it blasting straight into overt hentai censored different-market sex in the third episode. However, if you just made a show about normal horny teens then often the dude ends up looking predatory, because the natural reaction of the average horny teen when dumped in the situations that turn up in ecchi stories is to act like a horndog. Back in the day they would just make the guy oblivious (see: Tenchi Muyo) but that route often makes the guy look stupid. Nowadays, though they do occasionally go for the oblivious or unnaturally noble dude approach, the more often either just throw their hands up and play the horndog nature for comedy, or try to come up with an actual reason why the guy is holding back for weeks on end. The girl being his sister -or possibly being his sister- is a pretty obvious and easy approach. Which is probably why I can think of at least four anime that use it.
Which is I guess my verbose way of saying, whatever the reason that incest porn is so popular, it’s probably not the reason incesty stuff turns up so much in manga and anime.
