Maybe that one doesn’t really count as single-panel? Okay.
Works for me, I think it’s hilarious. Many gags can be picked apart with a little logic and reason but that really isn’t the way to approach them.

20+ years ago I had this one on my fridge. I forget the name of the comic and the artist. It showed a little old lady on a park bench feeding the birds. Two other old ladies were talking behind her and one says something to the effect of “Margaret hasn’t been the same since her husband died. All she does is sit on that bench and feed the birds.”
…the birds are all vultures.
I also had one that I don’t remember the name of the artist, but it showed two kids playing in the winter and one kid says “Look Billy I made a snow angel” and the other kid has this grin on his face and it shows the outline of a snow devil behind him. I actually emailed the artist and told him how I laugh every time I see that one and he mailed me a signed print of it.
Could it have been Gahan Wilson? It sounds like something he’d do.

If you don’t remember the artist, you could excavate that print and decipher the signature ;).
