lieu seems to be leading the race northwards with Point Barrow, which appears to be 71°20’N. That’s going to be hard to beat unless we have a Svabardian or a polar explorer on the boards.
phraser has the record of furthest south with Invercargill, New Zealand at 46°24’S. I’m guessing though that someone’s been to Patagonia - we’ll see.
Sticking to the major cities…

Jumping back and forth WAS fun, but it took a long time on account of my anal-retentive nature and having to reset my watch with each hop…
The actual dateline does deviate to the east a bit so that the entire Fijian island chain can be in the ‘same day’. I think it also jumps around a few other island chains as well.
I gotta get out more

I thought Belfast would have been the higest north, but I guess not.
I’ve been to Patagonia, but only as far south as Punta Tombo near Trelew. As Trelew is at about 43 degrees south it doesn’t beat Invercargill.
However, in New Zealand I’ve been further south than Invercargill, to near the southern tip of Stewart Island.
Since I’ve also been to Juneau, Alaska, at about 58 degrees north I think at least for now I can claim the greatest latitudinal spread, at about 105 degrees between furthest north and south.
I have also been to Taveuni, Fiji, so I can tie with pipper on that one.
The farthest westward I have traveled from my birthplace in New York is Perth, Australia. The farthest eastward is Nagpur, India.
Birthplace - Los Angeles.

I forgot about Australia being further south than Peru. Do you just add the two to get the latitudnal spread? Would Point Barrow’s 71n17 and Melbourne’s 37s49 give me a LS of 108.66?
The furthest south I’ve been is Dunedin, New Zealand.
Charming place.

That’s pretty hard to forget.
Yep, as long as they are either side of the equator.
No - it would give you an LS of 109°06’, which is even better.
BTW, what were you doing in Point Barrow?
Okay, some of this is pathetic, but I’m still young.
