When I first tried to sign on from my ipad it told me there was an app for this board. Now it doesn’t say that and a brief search didn’t reveal a specific app.
Is there one? What’s the name?

Tapatalk is the app that I keep getting pointed to when I use the SDMB on an Ipad http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tapatalk
On my iPad Mini, I’ve quite happily browsed and posted to the SDMB via Safari without bothering with Tapatalk. What are the benefits of using Tapatalk instead? Neither the linked wiki article or their own website was very forthcoming.
It’s just a layout that’s designed for the smaller ipad screen. I find it much nicer to use than browsing on Safari.
I find the native layout perfectly readable and usable on a Note II… and that’s with old tired eyes. I can’t imagine the need for something like tapatalk on an iPad, even a mini.
Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. I actually prefer the Tapatalk interface to the standard browser layout. Navigating around forums is easy-peezy, and I love that I can have my default setting in Tapatalk set to participated so I can start off a dope session by seeing responses to threads that I have previously posted in.
Sounds interesting. Assuming it’s free, I may give it a try. But I rarely browse the dope on iPad anyway.
