Me? Not so much what I done, it is what I didn’t do! I didn’t do any laundry. I’ve been too busy gambling, partying, and playing video games! Any down time I had, I was too exhausted to do laundry.
No, I didn’t wear a bunch of dirty clothes, once it was laundry time. I am a functonal degenerate, of course. I just bought bunch of new shirts, socks, and underwear once I ran out of clean items. It’s much less expensive than it sounds. I just grabbed packs of Hane’s T shirts at Target or Walmart. Socks and underwear on sale. As for pants I have several pairs of pants. I did continue to wear those, my legs seldomly get sweaty. I did the smell test to be safe. Passed! I bought a few shirts on sale from Old Navy whenever I wanted to be fancy.
I finally got around to doing my laundry today though. Go me!
I think this was more degenerate that what I did a few months ago. I got so pissed about something, I just hopped in my car and sped off! I drove and drove until I was two states over. Driving is therapeutic for me. Fortunately, I already had packed, and had a trip planned to the NEXT state over. No work that week. I just gave myself a spontaneous few day head start. I was just bored and twiddling my thumbs though. So I gambled up a few hundred dollars that I shouldn’t have, on some machines that I had no experience hustling on. I was bored! I Ate bunch of Indian and middle eastern food. Fortunately, I won some good money when I made it to my final destination that weekend. No losses.

-I seriously need to stop this kind of shit. It won’t get me laid!
While taking a pee break at a rest area I was lured by the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in the vending machine. I accidentally pushed 45 instead of 46 and got a Butterfinger instead. I tried again and somehow pushed 45 again. I finally got it right on my third try. I naturally followed up my peanut butter cups with a 2 Butterfinger chaser.
I have a peg board with these hook things in my closet. Bags, belts, misc. hangs from them. They are plastic. I hung a heavier thing on one and it broke. Note to self: Buy more.
Meanwhile I went in a dollar store and step on something. Aha! 2 plastic pegboard hooks. I said ouch, reach down and they were in my hoodie pocket before I thought, “oh, lord I’m stealin’ part of the store!”
This is exactly and precisely why I keep the extent of my gameplay on the downlow IRL. I do not need to attend Gamblers Anonymous. I do not have cravings and withdrawals, the major signs of addiction. I’ve been spending more time at casinos lately because I’m not far from moving up to the next tier of slot club membership at a certain casino chain. I need to rack up points. I party and play videogames because Im single and relatively young. This thread was meant to be lighthearted and not a cry for help.
My boss has been on vacation all week, so I’ve had her kid. And I’ve been a pretty trash “parent.”
First of all, I let her watch loads of TV. I usually have lots of activities planned- science experiments, art projects, outings of every sort- but I did not have the energy this time and she had two series she was hoping to binge watch because she doesn’t have Netflix at home, so she was more than happy to hole up in her bedroom with snacks and blankets and just catch up on her shows.
Second of all, we subsisted mostly on fast food and junk food. I’m vegetarian and she’s picky, so feeding her is always tough, but I still really try to make sure we’ve both got something nutritious to eat. I normally eat fast food about once every four months, but… again, I was exhausted and just focused on getting her fed each night, even if it was ramen noodles or Taco Bell.
Third, I usually properly clean the house before she comes over. This time, I made sure she had clean towels and bedding and that her bedroom was clean, but left most of the rest of it pretty much as-is. It’s not gross or dirty, but it is untidy.
Work’s been a complete clusterf*ck lately, so I don’t have a lot of energy left for anything by the end of the day. I kept her safe and clean and fed and got her to school and all that, but… yeah, I didn’t do a great job overall.
