What's the most expensive bottled water?

If this question does not have an easily obtainable factual answer then the question is more like “roughly how expensive does bottled water get?”

On a news item on TV they had a bottle (1litre) of sparking water for £5.

That would be around 10 to 12 bucks for us USers, right?

Depends on where one buys the water.

At the local convenience store, prices range from $.89 to about $3.00 (US). Apparantly about as much as one would spend in a convenience store, I guess. But, at a fairly upscale hotel I was in about a year back, a room service bottle of water was $10.00. So, at a really high end restaurant, hotel, or snob store, I would guess they could go even higher.

I wonder if anyone’s gone skiing yet this year? At Aspen, water was $5.00 a bottle, $2.50 at Winter Park. Some richy type resorts would probably charge more, but that’s just a guess, too.

One can usually find a 32oz bottle of water for around a buck.

These are getting up there, though.

… <-- (two dots to make post long enough. Ironically, redundant because of this sentence :dubious: )

Band name!

I’m going to guess it would be Glas Water since it is; A. It’s a custom labeled bottle and B. Likely to be sold in exlusive areas. I can only imagine how many goofs would line up for their own bottle of Cubatao brand bottled water, exclusively available through Cluricaun International.

OW! And here I was thinking that $4 for a 16-oz minibar bottle at my hotel last month was insane. Especially since I was selling the same size at Faire for 50 cents and making a tidy profit. And also since the hotel only nails on about three bucks per item from the restaurant for room service.

Room service charges - reasonable. Minibar water - usury.

Vishy Water?

Sorry,

Vichy Water?

**IT SUUUUUUUUCKS!!!
**
Sorry about that. Gut reaction, y’know. People: if you ever go to France, they will try to con you into drinking Vichy water. They will tell you it is good for you; that it is purifying, and beneficial to your health. In a way, this is true: it purifies you by causing you to vomit every last ounce of every foreign substance in your body immediately upon drinking it, because it sucks.

Do not drink the Vichy water. I remain convinced that it is a con; a joke the locals play on unsuspecting Americans, watching them drink it like good little tourists and then laughing as they attempt to keep from spewing it onto each others’ feet. Vichy water…ick.

By far, the most expensive bottled water has got to be heavy water.

The stuff costs, like, a thousand bucks a liter.

It’s not just the financial cost, it’s that you have to surrender your pride to get it.

Including Paris!

Yes, thank you, that quip was in geniune need of reinforcement from the Peanut Gallery.

I’ll drink to that!

I’m surprised no one’s mentioned Kabbalah water. It goes for about 6-7 US at the UK Centre. But it is, like, blessed and stuff. Or something. I almost bought some for the kitsch value, but then I saw it was bottled in Canada and figured I’d just wait til I was over there.

Water from Lourdes, $16 for a few cc’s. Water doesn’t come much more expensive than that.
