What's the most interesting car you saw today?

46 Chevy.

Also I think I saw the new Acura Integra which they are bringing back.

C8 Corvette in what I call Ferrari Red. (Don’t tell GM.)

I just saw one of these at a cruise-in and there were doors below the bed and behind the passenger compartment on both sides. it created a huge pass-through storage area. It must have been a newer model with a 1 piece windshield and a much squarer front end. None of the beautiful lines of the one you posted…

That is an absolutely delightful creation. Thanks for posting it.

At my hotel in Palm Springs today, a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible:

I don’t know what it was but maybe you can help me out. It was shaped like an older VW camper van but only about 2/3 the size. I saw it on the way to grab lunch and then again when coming back to work, each time going the opposite way so the glimpses were fleeting.

Could it have been a Mitsubishi Delica?

By Jove, you may have gotten it in one shot! It looked very much like some of the images in Google. I’ve never even heard of the Delica, much less seen one. If I see it around again, I’ll get a closer look.

Yeah, I didn’t think the Delica was ever sold in the US, but Wikipedia says they were sold in small numbers here. But they’ve gained a cult following among some car aficionados, to the point where people have started importing used ones from other countries, now that they’re 25 years old and legal to import.

I’ve seen them a few times here in the US. Even posted about it once in this thread.

Earlier today I saw one of the current generation Toyota Supras. I’m pretty sure that’s actually the first time I’ve seen one in the wild.

A 3rd generation Ford Mustang convertible, after the 1987 rebrand, so roughly 30 years old. It was an anemic looking beast, the low point of the Mustang line.

Starting in ‘87, the Mustang could be had with a 225 hp V8, making it capable of 14 second quarter mile times. Soothe 4 cylinder ones were anemic, though.

The Mustang II I owned for a while would like a word with you.

The timeline seems off. The third generation, the “Fox” platform, Mustangs ran from 1979 through 1993.

Good running and handling vehicles those.

Check-ola. That thing is one of the poster children for the malaise era.

There were a few facelifts during that span, and there was one in 1987.

Ahh yes, the Rustang.

AKA the Disgustang.

My son and I were out driving around and saw this car in someone’s driveway. Very cool looking, so we stopped to take a look at it. The owner was friendly. (That’s my son in the pic, not the owner.)

It’s a 1973 Kelmark. The owner said it was built in Michigan, and that only 1200 were built. I Googled it, but couldn’t find much info on it. Seems to be a kit car. If so, I’m not sure why it has a Ferrari emblem, lol.

You know, as an admirer of all the wacky kit cars that came out of the 70s, I can’t but help love this. I also can’t help observe that it would be about 100% cooler without the bogus Ferrari badging. No one is fooled by that. No one.
