What's the most interesting car you saw today?

I saw a Camero with some Ferrari Testarossa body panels.

Are you sure it wasn’t a Fiero? There were a number of Fiero-based Ferrari “replicas”.

Not sure at all.

I saw a red Bentley sedan turning into the gas station as I came into town. It was very similar in appearance to this one.

And I haven’t seen it on the road lately but my former landlord had a 1970-ish Rolls parked in the garage. He used the hood as a folding table for doing the laundry. Go figure.

I saw a big assed decked-out SUV (Escalade?) on Huebner Road a couple of days ago. Nothing too exciting about the car, but the driver was Tim Duncan. Any time you see a car driven by one of the top-10 people in their field, it’s a treat.

Somebody at my new workplace has a VW Rabbit pickup truck.

A 1973 Pontiac Ventura. Very clean.

Missed the edit window: the Ventura was Pontiac’s flavor of the Chevy Nova. Other GM flavors of the Nova include the Buick Skylark and Olds Omega.

A red Mini Cooper with whitewall tires.

This wasn’t in person but it is sure sticking in my head today. If you saw the Superbowl or are into sportscar racing, as I am, you will have seen the Nissan Nismo commercial. Today I saw a pic of the chassis (car minus the body work).

Dang thing looks just like a street rod. I could not stop laughing at the comparison. It was pretty cool.

Classic car lovers should check out the stuff up for sale at the RM auction currently under way in Paris.

Some of my favorites:

1965 Iso Grifo A3/C Stradale in amazing green, sold for just over a million Euros.

Mercedes 300SL Roadster, which went for about €1.2m.

And for real British class, an Aston DB5, which went for €840,000.

There are plenty of other great cars in the lot.

Nice. My favorite: 1963 Porsche 356 B Super 90 Cabriolet by Reutter, asking €150K-€200K

There are a few toys I would want from there, but first I’d need a bigger garage. And a lot more €€ (or $$).

Then there’s the car that attracts the most attention at car shows. No, really, it does. It’s even got a BMW engine.

Does it count if I saw a convertible XKE with the top on but no driver’s door, & the trunk hinges in the up position, but not supporting anything? There was also snow on it. :frowning:

I drove in a PCA Performance Driving course last week at Texas World Speedway. Lots of fantastic cars there, Aston Martin, old Porsches, GT3 RSs, etc but the McLaren next to me was the first one I ever sat in. The guy that owned it looked all of 27 or so.

Son sent me pictures from his job site,so I don’t know if this belongs… No,I don’t know how to post them.
Lincoln LT pickup – lowered, with those wide tires… They had to cut out the back wheel wells to make the tires fit. Then they cut a hole in the truck bed so the transmission would fit… (I’m not sure if that is what runs rear wheel to rear wheel) Amazingly bad work.

On Saturday, I saw a Ferrari and a Bentley, but me being car illiterate, I can’t tell you what model. The Ferrari was an Enzo-looking type, but it could have been one of the other flat, sleek, racing machines they make. The Bentley looked like a normal but fancier car.

They’ve never really made anything else that looks like the Enzo. And they don’t building racing cars except for F1 cars (and a couple of road car conversions.)

Was it moving?

I’d be surprised if it could move. A car like that shouldn’t be left to rust roadside in a parking lot.

 That made my day.
