What's the most interesting car you saw today?

Early 70’s BMW 2002 parked on the street in Harvard Square. Lovely looking car, I’ve never driven one.

I know that particular gentleman. He’s got come amazing stuff tucked away in his garage.

I see a Tesla sitting at the local power company’s charger almost every time I drive by. I wonder if it has the range to get out f the lot.

I’ve got a '63 “one owner European Delivery” 220SE for sale, cheap! Not far from the Bay Area! PM me!

I’ve also got a '71, not for sale. Don’t PM me.

I will let you drive it if you bring beer.

Luckily, I have. They were amazing for their time and are still a treat - provided the owner replaced the original, horse hair stuffed seats. Darned uncomfortable for a trip across the country.

Strictly speaking, this isn’t a car, but I saw one of these, in Arlington, VA yesterday evening (April 7th): Polaris Slingshot. Decidedly striking, in a sea of typical cars and SUVs.

<< Any small object when dropped will hide under a larger object. >>

1963 Plymouth Belvedere.

Not common!

A Rolls-Royce Wraith.

A Formula Junior

I live in South Texas where basically any car that isn’t a large pickup, a very large SUV, or a muscle/pony car stands out. Today, I was behind a very small Smart car for a while!

I worried about the driver being blown off the road by some of the neanderthal vehicles that whiz by. It takes real guts to drive a car like that here.

Aston Martin Cygnet

Had never heard of it, but Aston Martin Badge looked so out of place I had to google it

£30,000 for a car with a top speed of 106MPH & 0-62 in 11.8 seconds

Wow, that probably qualifies as one of the rarest cars seen in this thread. There are, apparently, only 143 on British roads.

I remember reading about the Cygnet on Jalopnik a few years back. I really liked the headline on their article.

Saw a local guy’s '48 Jeepster in his garage. On nice days he tools around the island like this one. Same color, too.

On vacation last week I saw an Astin Martin Rapideparked on the road in downtown Melbourne, FL. Sharp car!

A few minutes ago in Kettleman City, a main stopover along I-5:

A 1970 Chevelle SS396.

I used to have one. I miss that car!

Jet black Aston-Martin DB2 driving down a main street: every guy stopped in his tracks to dribble. And a rather nice sky blue Sunbeam Alpine was parked up outside my local garage when I took my car in for a service: looked unrestored and original, but in great shape.

Do you live in, like, 1957 or something?

Well, nothing as cool as most of these, but I saw one of my favorite cars from when I was a kid…it was a 1970 (or '71) Dodge Challenger. It was in gray and black and looked like a retro-mod with nice fat tires on the front and back and a cool spoiler and hood mounted air-intake. Damn it was nice.

Saw a 72 Olds Cutlass driving home from NH this afternoon. The windows were down and the guy driving looked very happy.
