What's the most interesting car you saw today?

I’d guess “to dream”.

“10” resembles “To”, but 10 is also 2 in binary. I’m not sure that’s what the owner was thinking, but I came up with tender ian, and I doubt it’s that.

Quarter million dollar Maserati crossover.

Look at how enormous those front brakes are. Looking online, I see the cost of a brake job on these cars is really expensive.

Similar to “To blave” from Princess Bride.

Maybe the owner is a Hungarian plumber?

Or maybe a Hungarian banker; after all, you never know with some of those Hungarian phrasebooks.

I did a cars & coffee at a high end stereo store so I’m on their mailing list; I haven’t unsubscribed yet only because they said they were going to do more in the future (it was their first);today’s peoriodic email from them had a $35000 powered subwoofer. Just the subwoofer, no other part of the stereo system!

Whadja say, if I start a GoFundMe, will you guys chip in so I can get one…& a new stereo system to go with it?

Sure. I might chip in $35,000. :joy:

.

And now here is a red Porsche 928

Today, I was driving behind a pickup truck. The last connections between BOTH rear quarter pannels and the frame had rusted out. The owner wrapped a thick canvas ratchet strap around the whole back end to keep it from sagging down onto the tires.

A Fiat 128 Abarth. In my church parking lot some time ago, parked next to my 356 was this sweet Fiat 128 Abarth.

Abarth is the performance division of Fiat and is named after performance designer Carlo Abarth who raced motorcycles in his youth. Abarth later became an early owner of the Italian sports car company Cisitalia (or originally CIS Italia for Compagnia Industriale Sportiva Italia).

Notice the Abarth logo has a scorpion on it. That’s because Carlo Abarth was born under the sign of Scorpio, and the scorpion represents grit, strength, and power.

A green 60’s Ford pickem’up twuck w/ green LED ‘eyes’ circling the headlights; a weird juxtaposition of old & new

Last night was a good spotting night. Way too slow on the camera draw though, so all I got was a blurry shot of taillights in the distance. Anyway, as my wife and I were stepping out of the restaurant, a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing and a Ferrari F40 drove past in close formation. I very loosely know the Gullwing guy from local car events; the F40 is a new sighting for me assuming it’s local.

Both are potential additions to my post-lottery win dream garage.

I’ve noticed those LED lights on a few old cars that would have originally had round sealed-beam headlights. I assume some company must be selling them as an aftermarket plug-and-play replacement for the old sealed beams.

A Dodge Ramcharger, which was built from 1974 to 1993 in two generations. Plymouth had its version, the Plymouth Trail Duster, and that was Plymouth’s only SUV. Most Ramchargers were 2-door and 4x4, although some were 2WD. A 3rd generation Ramcharger came back in 1999-2001 but it was only sold in Mexico where the Ramcharger was more popular. Here in the states it competed against the Chevy K5 Blazer (and GMC Jimmy) and the 1978–1996 Ford Bronco. I believe OJ’s white Ford Bronco was a 5th generation. IIRC.

I just (re)watched the movie, The World’s Fastest Indian (2005), and in it is a 1953 Vauxhall Velox. That was an interesting car.

Not today, but sometime last week – there was a 1920ish Rolls parked at the feed store.

My FIL owned one of those for many years. He had three kids and at the time only the oldest drove – besides him, that is. His wife, my MIL, has never had a license. It always seemed like a weird choice of vehicle when one need to haul three kids and a spouse all over creation. He seems to recall it with some affection as it’s the long-departed car he talks about the most.

They had a following but are rare these days. It’s been many years since I’ve seen a clean example like that red one.

What is that UGLY THANG blocking our view??!!??!!

My phone was in night mode; I had to turn that off to see what color it was as probably 30-40% that I see are (wrapped) some color other than stainless.

Yeah my FIL owned his in the late 80’s to sometime in the late 90’s. My wife says 1997.

And possible proof that Zuckerberg’s stasi has reached max power, I just saw an ad on Facebook for an '85 Ramcharger and another for an '87 Ram. And an ad for a straight '51 M37 PowerWagon, which if I had the money I’d go get tonight.
