keeping up with the rail theme, I saw an Amtrak MoW train today; two engines & a bunch of hoppers; maybe more, but I was heading south as it was going north.

I came out of Raisin’ Cain’s last night and saw that my car had been joined by two Ioniq 5s. I don’t know why, but I found it hilarious.
No me, my cousin spotted this and sent me the photos. A 1976 Stutz Blackhawk Series VI, built by hand in Italy. Only a few 100 were made, on GM platforms from 1971-87.

Walking into the office this morning this 1962 Plymouth Valiant was in the guest parking area.
Not the car itself, but yesterday I saw a car with the license plate bolted on backwards (i.e., it was the back of the plate that was visible). This strikes me as especially stupid because, first, he’s still going to be pulled over for lack of visible license plate, and second, because it was an embossed plate, so you could still tell what the plate number was, it just took a moment to think about it.
I wonder if the automated plate readers can read it & if it’s a, “Oops, my bad” getting away with free tolls not-so-innocent ‘mistake’?

I didn’t take a picture because the light turned green and I figured I’d remember where I was and hopefully be able to find on Google Maps. I didn’t remember and couldn’t find it. In any case, I saw a Duck (DUKW) boat/car parked in someone’s driveway a few days ago.
For those unfamiliar, these are boats with wheels (or cars that can go in the water?). They’re WW2 vehicles (think getting from the boat to the shore on d-day) that have been repurposed for sight seeing tours.
My dad was a WWII veteran; he and Mom made a point of taking the DC Duck tour during one of their visits.
In WWII refered to as ‘sitting’ ducks.
